This brave, selfless man who stole from the rich to give to the poor is the archetypal English folk hero. In modern times we grow up reading the book or watching one of the many films, animated and otherwise, that have been produced. However, it all began as a story recounted father to son over the campfires in the 1300s, of the ordinary man rising up against authority and redistributing the vast wealth held by the upper echelons of society at the time.
Robin Hood lives as an outlaw in Sherwood Forest with his band of Merry Men. Their various escapades seek to get the better of the good-for-nothing Sheriff of Nottingham who, in turn, is endeavouring to have them all locked up.
